Resmed has prohibited the sale of their items on CPAPAuction.com. Many sellers are working around these restrictions. Until we can enforce the Resmed ban with precision, we can't accept new auctions. We apologize for this sorry state of affairs.
Resmed needs to get rid of that bleeping idiot they installed at the top and maybe bring Peter Ferrell back. Either way, I've been an avid Resmed fan and it pains me to say this - but - screw Resmed and all the horses they rode in on. I'm done defending them, I'm done using their PAPs. So far I've not had good luck w/the couple of their masks that I tried. Now I will no longer even try one of their masks.
Has anyone checked to see if Resmed has taken on craigslist yet or not? Or are they just bullying one large, well-liked, popular online DME supplier??
Go on back to Australia, Resmed. You are no longer welcome or wanted here.

Thanks for offering the use of the forum for exchange of ResMed products, Mike. Perhaps our classifieds will finally get some postings, or just post as a new discussion. I imagine this hurts cpapauction a lot. The amount of merchandise available on their site has decreased dramatically. When I tried to sell a mask on eBay they wouldn't take the ad as it is a prescription item. I always think of Craigs list as more of a local area for sales. Do you think cpaptalk will offer the same ability to list ResMed items? Should we cross post just for this purpose? I rarely go there, this site keeps me happy.
I may be wrong, but I believe ResMed is capable of going after anyone or any site at this point. Until someone reins them in, we all may need to watch our backs. (I mean, its not like they have any history of caring about patients. All they care about is the BM DMEs, as they've stated so eloquently to their shareholders.) I would hate to see ResMed attempt to shut down this site, and I truly believe they are capable of trying to.
Just one man's opinion. And I'm wrong a lot. But still . . .
Good point!
Still, if you see any suspicious-looking characters following you around . . . Oh, wait, this is NYC isn't it! :-)
And ResMed may have some pull with the ASAA:

Mike said:remember that cpapauction.com is owned by cpap.com, which does a lot of business with ResMed. so ResMed in turn has a lot of leverage with the folks over there at cpapauction/ cpap.com, etc. this site, however, has no ties whatsoever with ResMed, so they have no such leverage over here.

I don't get this- I went to the site and didn't see anything about Resmed. I see the chat board--- I need a "Ruby Red" chinstrap(s), the one they made in 2006-8(?), the thin stretchy over-the-head pull-on one, if anyone has one. The new one is twice the thickness of neoprene, if it's in a drawer somewhere... the new one is made by Cardinal Health, it's a disaster.
Resmed has all to gain from a secondary market for goods... I have to see what this is all about, if it's a liability thing, or monopoly. Contact me on here if you have an old Ruby Red chinstrap, plz. thanks.
this one- it's thick and hot as Haiti now-
