Just got a large mask from my supplier. It came with a template you hold up to your face to see what size mask you need. Large is what i needed not medium. That may explane all the leaks and sores on my nose.

The template was on the bag the mask came in but you might want to look in to things if you think your mask is not what it should be.

You would think the tech would take the time to look into this.

Chris,
Maybe they should make the template green and then they would look at it. The majority of the DME's are only worried about getting your insurance information or getting your money, not about taking care of the patient. Until they are held to task by the customer, they will continue to operate in this manner.
If the template was on the bag the mask came in, it sounds like you have a Respironics mask, not a ResMed Mask. ResMed has seperate plastic sizing templates for clinical use, although some techs think they can tell what size you need just by looking at your nose.
