I wanted to wipe out 18 months of data from my CPAP so I used the reset button and zeroed everything out.  I wanted to completely start over and see my leak and AHI numbers daily (at least for seven days) without the seven and thirty day averages kicking in.  Silly, I guess.  The blower hours weren't  changed and my settings weren't changed and this morning I had brand new data from last night only.  I don't see the sleep doc for another 11 months so by that time there will be plenty for him to check.  Part of what I wanted to see were the leak rates with my new Wisp cushion.  I was having terrible leaks- 25%- 30% and the machine would take forever to get the average down to reflect the latest numbers.  Last night, no leaks with the new cushion.  I also saw I need to increase my EPAP maximum from 12 to 13.

Hope everyone is sleeping well.  It's a beautiful day here in Virginia.  I set out for a long walk with the dog, but he was kind of punk this morning so I brought him back home.

Mary, I have wiped my data once by accident but don't remember how I did it. I think your on Apnea Board? I would have a look at the manuals on there or start a discussion and ask for advice. Glad you had no leaks with the new cushions, keep it up. It's going to be a nice day her in Melbourne today (it's Sunday morning here) unfortunately my dog is now too old to walk to far, so I go by myself each night.

I used to post on apneaboard, but got disgusted at the level of censorship and left.  Certain words are automatically deleted before a moderator even reads the message.  I should get over myself and go back. It's a pretty good forum.

I did get my data reset and plan to reset it every morning so I can look at fresh data every day.   That is one thing I like on the ResMed machines- the ability to look at last nights data.

Mary, yes I hadn't seen you for a while on there, I like it because of the number of members they have you normally get a rsponse to a post fairly quickly. The onlt censorship I have seen is around the naming of suppliers which is against the rules, they are a lot stricker on their rules though.

I read the manual for the RemStar and noticed that one cannot wipe out blower hours.

I guess this is like a car odometer: One is not allowed to 'fudge' on this piece of information.

Hope this 'splains it.
