I have been using my CPAP for about 2 months, my mask actually fits, I keep it on, and am feeling alot better. My only problem is all the condensation in the mask. If I turn the humidity down, I get all dried out. But keeping it where it is is not working because I wake up several times at night with water running down my face. Anyone have any advice???
Hello, Indeed there are several things you can do at home to help this. First, you can lower the setting on your humidifier and/or turn the temperature up in your bedroom.
Also, if you raise the hose up above your head it will cause most of the moisture to run back to the humidifier when it condenses in the hose. Also if you do not want to do that, put the hose under the covers with you to keep it warmer.
Another choice is to cut the toes out of a pair of tube socks and slide them over the hose to keep it warmer.
And lastly if you want to purchase a solution, there are several companies that manufacure covers for the hose to keep it warmer, including my company. If you want to check out what I have to offer, you can google padacheek.com
I hope this helps.
