Questions about data from ResMed VPAP 25 (also posted in untitles discussion)

A few questions for you knowledgeable folks. My new VPAP Auto 25 gives leak, RR, pressure, and AHI which I understand.
I also gives VT (260-520), MV (3.3-6.1) % spont T:(0%), %spont C:(0%),
none of which I understand. Can someone please clue me in? I sure would appreciate the insight.

Thanks,
Mary Zimlich

VT is short for Tidal volume. The volume of air exchange with each breath, measure in ml (milliliters or cubic centimeters). MV is Minute ventilation which is the VT times RRmeasured in liters per minute. spont T% is the percent of breaths that triggered a preset breath. This would only be active if you were in spont. timed mode. meaning the machine delivers a precribed breath so many times a minute as a minimum. You are in spontaneous mode so this number is of no consequence. Same goes for the %spont C reading. That is the % of cycled breaths delivered.

Thanks for the explanations, Neal and Judy.

VT is actually Tidal Volume.
TV would have been confusing.

Sorry, I had tried to post the list of Resmed definitions but I see that didn't work.
