Quattro FX mask fitting~Comfort Care Sleep pad & Remzzzs

Had my mask fitting today.  Have for trial the Quattro FX.  I put it on and "napped" for 30 minutes.  I think it is promising.  Wondering if anyone here uses it?  And does anyone use the Comfort Care Sleep pad and/or Remzzzs?  WOndering if this would make the mask even better.  I want to make sure in deciding as I will be paying out of pocket ( I think) as my 30 day window is gone! Also looking into a small CPAP pillow, perhaps. All in all I think it feels better then the nasal pillows and if it does work out I won't have to worry about my mouth "puffing" or opening while asleep.  Kind of looking forward to going to sleep tonight!

Sounds promising. Hope the FX continues to work well for you.

Good Luck.

Darn, it leaked on & off all night.  Adjusted the straps some and will see what happens tonight.  I am starting to get very concerned that there is NOT a mask out there available to fit my small. petite face!

Good Luck.

Talk to a tech or an RT at your DME or sleep lab/docs office.  Explain the problem you are having.  There have been many people on this forum who have solved the problem of being very petite.  Hopefully someone will chime in. A person knowledgeable about fitting masks should be able to help you.  Good luck.

I went to the MD's office yesterday and this is what was tried.  I thought it "might" work but also it might leak around the moth which it did.  Don't know if I should call him back this soon or try another night.  I would like t hear what solutions other woman with petite faces have been using.

I don't have a petite face and can't give you advice there, but I know it's worth more than two or three nights working to get a mask to fit.  Sometimes it takes a week or more of fooling around with it to get it right.  I know it's tough to have to keep messing with a mask, but sometimes that's what it takes.  If you decide you want a different mask, nasal mask, or nasal pillows call the folks at cpap.com (whether you buy from them or not) and see what they recommend if your doc or whoever can't help you.

The mask is the hardest part of CPAP, I think.

Come on petite women (hopefully you're out there just haven't gotten to this topic yet, Ginny needs some help.

Thank you, Mary!   I found on the internet the Mirage Quattro xsmall.  Perhaps that may become an option.  I like the head hear of the Quattro FX better though.  It only goes to a small size and I don't know how that compares to the Mirage Quattro x small.  (I hate all the confusing names for masks!)  I think I will take you up on calling CPAP.Com.  I have rdered one supply from them so I guess I am their customer!
I used the quattro for a long time with sucess until the bridge of my nose began to break down.  Depending on where you got your mask there may be a 30 day exchange policy.  The FX is just the new version of the quattro.
The mask is a "loaner". I have passed the 30 day window and my insurance )I assume) has covered the  mask I am not using now. SO I think if I need another I have to pay.  I guess the insurance companies feel one should be "all set" with his CPAP in place within 30 days.  I would love to be finished with this and not have it be a continuing, ongoing saga that is on my mine ALL the time.  I know I am not the only person on CPAP with a small face/head.  The DME's and RT seem to think I am!!
