I see many people discussing all the stages of sleep and the data they get back from their sleep studies. My sleep center only provided rem and non-rem data. Why is this?

The results of your tests are a part of your medical records and as such you have a LEGAL RIGHT to copies of these tests and results under HIPAA (assuming you are in the USA). If you want this information and it isn't routinely provided it is up to you as an interested patient to request it, to request copies of not just the doctor's dictated results (1-2 pages each) but also the full scored data summary report w/condensed graphs (5+ pages each).
