Provent Pros and Cons -- Anybody using it??
At the NYC A.W.A.K.E meeting I was asked to post this. Is anyone using Provent ?? If so what are Provent's pros and cons? has your cardiac function changed? Has your lung function changed? How is your o2 saturation?

Chris, I have read of two people on another forum who have used and like Provent. Neither of them mentioned a change in cardiac function or lung function, or O2 sat. Even those of us on CPAP do not have those things, with the exception of O2 sats, checked before or after starting 'PAP unless we have health problems in those areas.
The two people who were using it liked the Provent a lot.

I'm eager to hear more anecdotes about Provent, pros and cons. As Chris mentioned, this question was raised at the last Manhattan A.W.A.K.E. meeting. The information will be relayed to a woman desperate to try anything that might help her who has tried CPAP and oral appliances, all to no avail. She is not computer literate, so Chris and I are acting as her intermediaries by posting online.
