Provent - a patch that fits over the nostrils for sleep apnea patients ?

Hi all,

Has anyone used or heard of the use of this device called Provent manufactured by Ventus Medical.  It is described in the following NYT article.

Yes, I heard from two people on another forum who used it and like it very much.  They did not have sleep tests while using the Provent so don't know how effective it is, yet.

this is becoming a standard option for those who are unsuccessful or cannot tolerate CPAP.  i've heard it's hard to get used to, but if you can use it, it can help.  not as effective as CPAP, but certainly better than nothing.
