portable cpap?

is there any kind of device on the market that has a portable CPAP machine?  last time i had one, i had this huge mask that was attached to my head, with a mask covering my nose and mouth.  it was connected to a huge machine next to my bed and cranked out a loud noise that kept my wife awake and eventually led me to move into the guest bedroom, then to not using it at all.

i would twist and turn and it would get disconnected, or if i woke up for the bathroom, half conscious, i would get up and forget to disconnect the machine and it would create a huge thump when the machine hit the floor.

 

do they have any kind of portable machine that is small enough be less obstructive?

There are compact machines avilable.  Check out cpap.com.  They won't help your problems of forgetting to disconnect from the machine for a bathroom break.  The newer machines are quieter.  You need to use your machine all night every night for it to be effective.
