I've heard something mentioned about nocturia / waking up to go to the bathroom -- being a predictor of all-cause mortality.  put differently, your chances of dying from something/ anything go up if you wake up to go to the bathroom a lot, probably because doing so is associated with untreated Sleep Apnea.  anyone have confirmation on this study?

No. But I used to get up multiple times every night (like once every 2 hours) to pee . . . until I got my CPAP machine. After CPAP nocturia abruptly stopped. I had always assumed the nocturia was a side effect of one of my medications, because it is listed as a side effect on the insert.

Once I even had to do a 24-hour urine collection for a lab test and was shocked to see how much more urine I produced at night than during the day. It is amazing how many effects this condition has on the body. And I had absolutely no idea I had any apnea, let alone severe . . . but I did. Doctors didn't even want me to have a sleep study, because they were convinced I didn't have apnea..After I started waking up gasping for air sometimes, I insisted on a study.
