Does anyone know how I can get help in getting a new mask, head gear and hose for my machine? I have been using them for 3 years and they need replacing bad.

I have no medical insurance and barely making it on the income we have. Any suggestions will be appreciated.

i suggest getting a donation from one of the members on this forum.  if you ask, you may receive.  you might be surprised.

I have to buy my own equipment and have had the best luck using cpapplus.com. The lightweight tubing is great, it's only $8 for 6-ft, they have a tube brush I use to clean my own tubing. The woman who runs it, I think her name is Carolyn is really nice, you can call her and tell her you're looking for a certain mask and if she gets a return, you'd like a discount.

The Mirage LT is $121.00 which isn't bad, I got it on sale $99 I think. All their shipping is cheap UPS ground.

see their 50%-off on lower left on homepage.

You can ask for a lightwt tube free with a purchase, she was doing that, especially if you buy a mask, I got one.

Tell us where you are and perhaps one of the sleep labs or DME companies can help you out.

Linda, tell us what mask you are using, someone here will know (if it's working for you) a good upgrade or replacement. The tubes are only $8.00. Once you know that, I would go to a supplier and tell them you'd like to try some on, let them assume you'd buy it there if the price is right. Do they not allow that unless you agree to buy there? Been a while since I shopped at a DME.

You can clean your hoses (if not too far gone) take a heavy rubberband, strap the 2 open ends up to a faucet

w/ plastic tub/pail, in sink) pour in distilled white vinegar 1-2 parts to 10 water, let it soak, sometimes, I leave an hour, then flush out well. I use the tube brush they sell at cpapplus, but soaking is fine til you can get new.

It's best to be using your CPAP, asap.

it is not the problem with the hose that is fine. it is the mask and the head gear I need. right now I am using the one that fits over the nose and have been for 2 years so it needs replacing bad and the head gear is so stretched out it needs replaced as well. with no medical ins and on a fixed income I can't afford to buy any of my supplies for the cpap. I just thought maybe someone would know of a place that could help me replace what I have even if it is a return that they can't sell. I won't ask for donations like some one suggested earlier as everyone is probably in the same boat as me. thanks for any and all suggestions I appreciate it.
