HI,
My name is GERARD ENRIGHT I'M A SENIOR e-mailing is like learning to drive a car at 70 years
old. Slow going, Have not use my RES MED SWIFT machine for 3 weeks, Opening my mouth to
much, develop bad nasal cold. DR. LOMBARDO my sleep doctor send in PRES. for Full mask.
It took MEDSTAR one month to fill order, claimed (MEDICARE FAULT)
DR. LOMBARDO chewed then out. Tomorrow morning coming for Fiting, At last meeting i told
that it's common to have this problem, if you have a head cold you need a full mask?
Looking forward to Wednesday meeting. Any feed back on this matter we be appreciated.

Hi Gerard, glad to have you aboard. I breathe through my mouth and my nose gets stuffed up at night so I use a full face mask. A full face mask is handy when you have a cold and your nose is stopped up., and even if you don't have a cold and breathe through your mouth. Some of the folks on here that use nasal masks will probably fill you in on how they manage their CPAP. Good luck on your fitting.

I would view the Full Face Mask as a band-aid of a solution instead of a true solution. If you're opening your mouth too much and have a lot of congestion, you should explore ways to improve your breathing through the nose. I'd talk to an ENT about this problem. Your goal, you can tell him/her, is to be able to use CPAP better.
