iPhone app provides sleep cycle data: "Sleep Cycle also saves your sleep data and displays a detailed sleep graph and sleep statistics for every night you use it."
Although not designed for analysis of Sleep Apnea specifically, it may be interesting to experiment with this app as one tweeks their xPAP therapy, as another component of data that could reflect successful therapy. I expect most folks would not go out and buy an iPhone to use this one app, but if they already had an iPhone, it would be great to try out the app (costs 99 cents). It appears to give data on an individual's sleep cycles, using that data to determine the best time to awaken the sleeper with an alarm, so as not to disrupt "deep sleep".
May be just a matter of time until someone develops and uses such a device specifically oriented to helping patients with a range of sleep disorders work with their at home therapy to achieve the best results.
