Hi, I’m reaching out from a consumer goods start-up, and we’ve recently launched a product called the Side Solution™ Pillow - a uniquely shaped pillow designed by a physical therapist that cradles and aligns the neck, head, and shoulders to promote healthy sleeping and less snoring, and also to help with mild sleep apnea. The Pillow is already available online, but we’re always seeking honest feedback that can help us make it better. If you’d like to evaluate a free Pillow, please e-mail me at shass@absolutelynew.com. I will provide pillows to the first 10 people who respond. Thanks very much!

First let me enlighten you on some of my background. I am full of arthritis. I have had both of my hips replaced followed now by having spinal stinusous. Just this past August I was diagnosed with complex apnea. I have been big all my life and sleep very warm. Most mornings I would awake sweaty and the bedding would be damp. Trying to change thinks for the better I did much research on the computer. For cooling down the body temperature I found that 100% bamboo bedding helped greatly. Since starting my sleep treatment things have improved also. I am always looking for things to help. I am using some aromatherapy and seen this pillow test. I feel lucky being one of the testers.

First night results:
I think the pillow is very comfortable.I woke up with less neck and shoulder stiffness.Using a nasal mask did not bother any at all.The only thing I could suggest is a Cool-Max cover made for regulating the body’s temperature, keeping you dry and cool on warm nights, and warm and cozy on cool nights.I have a Psyche CPAP Pillow with that cover and I like the coolness but the Psyche pillow is too small and no way as comfotatble like the side-sleeper pillow.

My pillow was delivered Tuesday but we didn't get home in time to pick it up from the office ahhh. I was so excited, I picked it up last night and so far it's great! My neck is less stiff and I didn't spend all night fighting the hose / pillow. I had been trying to sleep on my back because of the hose but kept getting rain out :( With the pillow I got to sleep on my side, kept the mask on all night and woke up dry faced - so far I'm very pleased.
Wes could you give us more details on the Psyche pillow as well. I have never heard of it and just now looked at their website. Others might be interested in some of the details about the pillow.

I used the SideSleeper pillow the first night I got it. I am getting over a cold and so have been more fatigued than usual the last couple of days. Tuesday night I tossed and turned and could not get comfortable. I would drift off to sleep only to wake up, this was repeated several times. I have a long day at work today (Thursday) and so used my old pillow last night as I want to be able to judge the SideSleeper pillow fairly. I am off work tomorrow and so will be using the pillow over the week-end. Will keep you posted on my results.
Sleepycarol asked for an update:The Psyche Sleep pillow is much smaller (15"long X 9.5" wide on the widest side and 11" wide on the shortest side X 4" thick)The filling is very firm(I think it could be latex foam)The one thing I did like about it was the cover is made of a fabric that adjusts to your bodys changing tempature. In the past we have used Iso-Cool™ pillows that use a fabric like that.

Doing a little more looking I did find a Deluxe model side sleeper: Dual-sided with 75% Polyfiber fill and 25% Memory Foam, 300 thread count cover with Silver Science(TM) all-natural bacteria inhibitor. It stated you could turn the pillow to either side..the one side memory foam, the other side poly fill.If this one is still on the marketI do not know.

Update...I have been using my Side Solution Pillow now for about 10 days.It has been very comfortble and very easy to get used to.I find that it is easy to sleep on my side and some what on my stomach with it.Another plus for the pillow is the price which is not that expensive(I do belive you can buy one for around $40.00)I would tell everyone to try it for themselves. The only upgrade would be some kind of cover that was cooler than the cotton cover it comes with but that may be to my liking.
