New member needs help for friend.

If Machine Being Used, What Type? (e.g., Respironics M Series with A-Flex Auto-Adjusting CPAP)The doctor ordered my friend an oxygen test along with a blood test. When he sleeps I can hear him stop breathing. He is very worried about the long term effects on your kidneys etc. The worrying is causing him loss of more sleep. Help what can I do for him.

If Mask Being Used, What Type? (e.g., ResMed Activa Nasal Mask): His insurance doesn't pay for the sleep study but his doctor is very concerned and sending him to see a sleep specialist

He should have his doctor talk to the insurance company. It is the doctors responsibility to get the pt what he/she needs. This is what we pay them to do. Call the doctors bluff. How concerned is he?
