New hose

This maybe a silly question but I am racking my brains for a solution. My current rise in Ahi's, seems to start at exactly the same time as I started using a much longer hose. Could this be causing my problem? I am going to use shorter hose tonight to see if there is any difference.

Carolyn, the only thing I would know to do is experiment between the two hoses. My machine has a setting for which lenght hose- do you have the machine set for the longer hose?
