I have had my CPAP machine for almost 9 months and used it off and on due to other health issues. I have been trying to get back on it on a regular basis like I am supposed to but with it on (I use the nasal pillows after trying several other types of mask) I can sleep for about a hour or maybe two then wake up and when I try to go back to sleep I feel like I am sufficating. When I first use it at night it is fine but once I wake up for anything that is it I cant use it the rest of the night..any ideas for me to try?????

Try using it during the day. Try wearing it while reading, watching tv, etc. so that you have a distraction.

At night tell yourself, that you will wear it a little longer. Each night make sure you extend the time you wear it. Take baby steps and keep putting one step in front of the other until you are using it all night every night.
