I have been using the CPAP machine for about eight months. Many mornings, when I wake up my neck is really swollen. Has anyone else had a problem with this and do you have any idea why?

do you find that the hose gets wrapped up around your neck at night while you're changing positions?
No, I have the hose hooked to the bed post and it is never around my neck. Just seems like there is an accumalation of fluid in my neck and about 2 hours later the fluid sort of drains away.
Hope you find the answer as it must be uncomfortable.

Maybe one of the pros can help.
suffice it to say, this isn't a typical byproduct of cpap use. i'd check what folks here say, but also inquire with a physician on this one. could be something completely unrelated.
Sounds pretty weird. Let us know if you find out what it is. I know my eyes are pretty puffy in the am, but the neck sounds a bit scarier.
Joyce, are you going to see a doctor?
