"Did two overnight's at Strong Hospital Sleep disorder clinic.The last one I used a CPAP.I've been given a prescription for a personal cpap, have not used it yet.I am way ready to get better sleep, this apnea is grinding."

Francis, welcome aboard. Have you gotten your CPAP, hope you start using that CPAP as you may be one who takes to it like a duck to water. We're here hopefully to answer any questions and give support along the way. I have learned a lot about CPAP and sleep apnea on this forum. I just hit two years on the machine, though the last two months have been more off than on due to other issues. I'm ready to get back on it myself.

If you haven't gotten your CPAP yet be sure to tell the local DME provider that you want a fully data capable PAP capable of providing your doctor w/your Leak, AHI and AI data!!! And keep in mind that just because the PAP has a data card does NOT mean it is fully data capable. Some can provide only compliance data which is of no value to anyone except the local DME provider to get your insurance payment.
Be sure to ask to try several masks before deciding on one. Ask to try at least one full face mask, one nasal cushon mask, one nasal pillows mask and maybe even one oro-nasal mask. They SHOULD fit you for your mask while you are laying down and have a PAP turned on to your set pressure or 10 cms whichever is higher. Ask them how lenient their mask exchange policy is. Once they've determined your needed pressure THE MASK becomes THE KEY to successful PAP therapy.

Salah, do you need a straight CPAP, not a bilevel, or other specialized machine. Se if you caan get a precription from your doctor, you will need that.
has a variey of machine for $400 dollars, some for less, but then you will need to buy a mask and hose. Are you interested in reading your nightly data from the machine, If so you will need a data capable machine. I saw a number of products that would meet your needs. Find out from your doctor what your prescription says.

I would try on line retailers which would be more expensive than cpapauction.com. That way you would get a new machine which should come with a guarantee.
There are others on the site better able to advise what machine. There are several major brands to choose from. Two of the most popular are Philips Respironics and ResMed, but there are other good machines. One thing to bear in mind is you may need a humidifier. Have you seen your doctors prescription? These are all prescription items.
One online dealer I trust is cpap.com, but there are many to choose from. Shop around for the best price

Try cpap.com. They have a good track record.
They have some reasonable prices on the various machines. Depending on what you want. You will need a script in order to obtain one from even an online site here in the states. You can fax it to them, or scan and submit it that way.
Do you have a script Salah? What is your pressure? The reason many of us push for data capable machines is so that the doctors can follow your treatment and make adjustments without costly testing. I know that sleep tests here are very expensive and the cost of the difference in the machines can pay for itself.

I know you say you don't need data from a straight CPAP - BUT - since this is your first experience w/CPAP therapy you really would be wise to buy one that IS fully data capable. If at all possible financially you SHOULD seriously consider the Resmed S8 Elite II w/EPR or the Respironics M Series Pro w/C-Flex or the PR SystemOne Pro w/C-Flex.
