Medical professionals to see for apnea/cpap questions

Once you have gone to a sleep lab and been put on a CPAP, it appears that you are locked into dealing with a rep from the CPAP supplier.  What type of doctor or medical professional should be involved in the treatment and questions that a patient has concerning on going sleep issues?  For example, I read on this board about "memory loss".....and that struck a cord.  Who should we see to confirm the correlation between "memory loss" and apnea/cpap????? What medical professionals should be follwoing my husband"s condidtion?  I find that our primary physician is not well informed in this field.

I would see a certified Sleep Doctor.  Many are neurologists or pulmonologists. It might take you a couple of trys to find the right fit.  Try Mike's Find a Professional, there shhould be a link from the main page.  Good Luck
