I have been sleep apnea patient for quite some time.  My problem is having a mask that fits my small nose/bridge.  I have had at least 8 different types but none seem to work  for me.  The nasal pillow doesn't give me enough air.  I have tried  the rzzmm covers for the nose but that hasn't worked either.  I was wondering if any user is out there with the same problem.  I am looking into ordering a Mirage Kidsta nasal mask which is used for kids with sleep apnea.  I have a sleep apnea guide which shows I would use the smallest mask.

Added:   I have a small head and usually wear a child  size hat.   My nose is very small.

Constance, my wife struggled for months with the same problem. As I posted on another thread, my wife just switched to the Respironics Comfort Gel nasal mask and LOVES it. And that's a big statement coming from her, since she is not a fan of CPAP or CPAP masks. She likes the gel cushion which makes it very comfortable, and that the mask comes in a petite size that's perfect for her. I know that Respironics considers this one of their "premium" masks -- top of the line. I'd try this before the Mirage Kidsta. I hope this saves you some time/ effort.
Actually that was the last mask I tried. The nose area is too big. Thanks for the help

In that case, yes, I'd try the Mirage Kidsta.

have you looked at the new respironics mask I am having great success with that or you might want to look at the sleepweaver cloth mask. It seems to adjust to smaller faces like yours very well.
I have not heard of the sleepweaver cloth mask. Where can I get info on that?

I've often thought of trying the Kidsta. Of the masks that interest me and I've tried I've always gotten the smallest size available whether Small, XSmall or Petite.

I've had good luck w/the ProBasics Zzz-Mask Small full face. The headgear was a bit big but I was able to rectify that. Then I read someone else was using the ProBasics Zzz-Mask w/the Respironics ComfortLite Premium headgear so ordered that headgear and am using it even more comfortably than my "lab-ratted" Zzz-Mask headgear.

If you do get the Kidsta let us know how it works out for you!!!
Thanks for the info.

Hi Constance, here's where you can get info on the sleepweaver mask: http://www.sleepweaver.com/

i haven't heard from anyone who used this and had success. if you try it, i'd be interested in hearing about your results.

Hi All,
I haven't been on for a while. I have tried sticking with my mask and using the cloth liners around the nose. That did help a little with making it fit better; but it helped more with any extra moisture in the hose. Well I finally broke down and purchased the Mirage Kidstra nasal mask. I got it today and unpacked it, put it together, and tried it on. It seems to fit perfectly but of course, the real test will be tonight when sleeping. Will let you know how it goes.
Morning All,
I slept my first night with the Mirage Kidsta nasal mask. After readjusting the straps, I found the mask very comfortable. I did not experience any leaks and the mask area seemed to fit better than any I have tried. The headgear is also very comfortable. I got the small and it was plenty big enough for my head. The one thing I did use was the small velcro strap with clip and clipped the hose to the top of the headgear which keeps the hose stationary if I lay on my side either way.
So far I highly recommend it for anyone with a small bridge/nose.

Attaching the hose above the head or hanging the hose above the head can help w/just about ANY mask by reducing the tugging of the hose on the mask when we change positions.
Well I have always used the strap to keep the hose over my head. My biggest problem was mask size. I have had several nights now with the Kids Mirage Kidsta mask and can honestly say "I have found a mask that finally fits my small nose". It was the most expensive mask I have had but after trying about six different masks thru the years, I have finally found my fit!
So my recommendation to anyone with a small nose/bridge, try this mask.
