latest sleep study said all was fine but...
While my sleep apnea, meaning the AHI numbers, was great... there was this problem of fractured sleep... in other words alpha intrusions. Yes, I am under STRESS. Yes, I do have pain due to my peripherial neuropathy. I am extremely sensitive to pills. Tried neurontin and Lyrica as well as amitriptlyne? for the neuropathy... no way Jose.... I am using Anodyne Infrared therapy daily and it helps.
Any input, suggestions you amy have are welcome. Because of my difficulty with taking meds, I have learned that I must think... out side of the box...

That is tough Barbara. Pain and alpha intrusion presents a set of particular troubleshooting problems when it comes to sleep. Not being able to take meds furthers those problems. I am not an MD. I do know that the only thing that is going to help you is to treat the source of the problem. Ask your doc about any experimental treatments that may be on the market.

Well... Jeffery Thompson CDs are helping. I am also taking Ativan. Drs are so scared of this drug. It is the only one that quiets my chattering mind. I have used it for over 35 years (on and off) and never abused it. It is a bummer to go off of, but it works so well for me. I have never gone above 1 mg. before, but last night took 2mg, used the CD and I have energy galore. That is not a high dose and if I remain who I am... I will not need to go above. I will exercise, lose weight and do all that I need to do... also stress reduction activities. I need the extra 1 mg right now. Just have to get the Dr. to believe me. He is out of town!!! Tired of being a blob unable to do anything. I finally let myself cry it out, but crying and CPAP do not mix very well ;-)) I know what I have to do and will do it... too many things to do yet, not ready to wither way from poor sleep.
