I have been bothered by stones since I was a child, and was wondering whether there is an apnea connection. There is. I found this on the web this morning. It's not about kidney stones, but about gout. I am posting the link here because my last troublesome stone was uric acid, and my urologist tells me that uric acid crystals are the seeds around which calcium oxylate stones grow. I am sure there are more general issues of blood acidity. Perhaps one of our medical members can comment on this, especially as it is not peer reviewed, and there is probably more to it. Still, I do wish my uro had referred me for a sleep study rather than nag me about my weight!

I could not begin to explain how o2 deprivation affects all of our different organs. I do not think there is any link to kidney stones and apnea. there are some links to restless leg and periodic limb movements being caused by kidney problems. I have also read studies that show that there is no common generator between PLMs and apnea. i know that I did not answer your question, but it's all i got.
