Is a second sleep study recommended to insure all is well?

I've been using the CPAP for several years. Recently I've had symptons similiar to when I first discovered I had apnea. Those symptons include recurring dreams believed to be triggered by not breathing correctly. Waking with an extremely dry mouth. Waking where my chest feels tight and unable to take a complete breath. Question: Should I look into another sleep study to learn if the machine needs an adjustment?

Lenny, I would certainly talk it over with my doc. Your needs may have changed and you might need a different pressure, a new sleep study may well be in order.
Thank You
Lenny, I should have asked if you have a data capable machine and if you're able to check your AHI, and AI every morning? If you are able to do this and your AI has risen, or is over 5 episodes a night you probably do need adjustments. I don't know if there is an official recommendation that sleep studies be done on a routine basis- every two or three years. Have you been seeing a sleep doc every so often the past couple of years ?
Good luck, please keep us posted,
Mary Z.
