Insomnia/Over-the-Counter Insomnia Drugs Discussed at NYC AWAKE Meeting
Insomnia was the topic of tonight's NYC AWAKE meeting. Dr. Marta Maczaj gave an excellent, detailed presentation on the topic, the contents of which are now available at the New York City Sleep Apnea Support Group website: http://manhattanawake.org/meetings/past. A lot of the folks in the room who had Sleep Apnea also experienced insomnia. They seemed particularly interested in knowing the best over-the-counter medications for insomnia. The PPT presentation, posted on the website, summarizes what was said.
Dr. Maczaj is Clinical Associate Professor, Department of Psychiatry, New York University School of Medicine and Adjunct Associate Professor of Psychology, Department of Psychology, SUNY at Stony Brook, NY. She is certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and a Fellow of the American Academy of Sleep Medicine.
