The manufacturers of CPAP machines often have a lot of information about what SDB is and the treatment.  ResMed's (www.ResMed.com) has a lot of information for patients and families and an excellent video of SDB (sleep disordered breathing). I encourage you to explore the website for your machine.  Also www.apneaboard.com has copies of most clinical manuals which I suggest you study, along with your users manual which I hope you reviewed thoroughly.
