I didn't know enough to say No to getting a new tube every three months when I was first diagnosed.

I now have three tubes. I rotate among them every night. (If I had only two tubes, I'd rotate between the two; I have the luxury of rotating among three.)

And the rest of the equipment? I run very hot water in the humidifier and let it air dry.

I soak nasal masks or pillows in hot, soapy water for a while before rinsing, shaking out the water and then leaving everything to air dry.

I rotate among two sets of nasal pillows and a nasal mask.

The name of my game is...ROTATE! Result? I always have equipment that's dry and ready for use.

I rotate between two pillows. No soaking, just a scrub with Seventh Generation dish soap (fragrance free) for a minute, rinse well with hot water, then a finishing rinse with the leftover distilled water from my humidifier tank. All the little pillow crevices are dried before the next use.

Since I live near the ocean, my humidifier does not use much water and the tube is nearly dry in the morning, so I don't rotate the tube. Other areas of the country, this would be a great suggestion.
