How many people have 'Restless Leg' symptoms?
I'm not sure, but I think I am starting to have this problem -- wondering how many people with sleep apnea suffer from "Restless Leg" symptoms. How can it be diagnosed and what can be done about it?
Don't want any more problems!!

I have restless legs, have had it all my life even when I was a child. Never been diagnosed or treated because I don't want anymore meds than I am already on. There is med for it but not without side effects.

How do you know it's RLS if you have not been Dx? What if you have nerve or muscle damage? RLS and PLMD can be early warning signs for more serious things. Kidney problems, Neurological Dissorders, Vitamin, and Mineral defficiencies just to name a few. You are doing you and your family a great disservice by not looking into it. Just because you get a Dx does not mean you have to take a medicine for it.

Well, I always had these feelings in my legs and never new what is was, then one day I saw a documentary on Restless Leg Syndrome and I knew that was what it was. I had never heard of such a thing before. My mother also had it and other members of my family. They also told me at my sleep study that I had restless leg symptoms and asked me if I was being treated for it. I never thought much about it before but is there a test for it? I guess I should get tested. Usually I get the symptoms really bad when I get tired in the evening and I go to bed because I just can't sit anymore. But I do have trouble going to sleep because it I can't stop moving my legs.

Some of my symptoms are frequent movement, in an effort to find a comfortable position; not being able to get comfortable; muscle aches in the calf or other parts of legs; sometimes I feel a crawling feeling during the day. I knew someone who had this syndrome really bad and she couldn't sleep at night - had to walk around during the night to get relief.
