Hi all,

This is my first post.  I have been using a CPAP for over 2 years now.  I've been having a problem with the combination of a down pillow, the head gear and a chin strap.  My head gets hot from the head straps, chin straps, and pillow.  I wake up drenched in sweat and have to wash my CPAP gear. pillows, and sheets quite frequently or else they stink from the sweat.  Is anyone else have a problem with sweat?

What are your thoughts on a buckwheat pillow.  I need something better for back sleeping.

I tried a special contour CPAP pillow & hated it!  I am back to my favorite down pillow.  Have never tried buckwheat~somehow it does not SOUND comfortable.

How do you feel? Did you have these sweats before starting CPAP?

Waking up drenched in sweat is a symptom of severe sleep apnea.

Do you have a CPAP machine and software that records your breathing and gives you a report of the effectivness, or lack thereof, of your CPAP therapy each day?

Without data capability you cannot know whether the process is enabling normal breathing and prevent apneas.

I have a buckwheat pillow and in my case I sweat just as bad (like what you describe I wake up literally wet at times).  I do have an anti-allergy pillow cover on it though due to severe allergies and don't know if that contributes to the problem as it is made of a dense kind of like waterproof material.
What does a buckwheat pillow feel like?
