How big is this -- what does it mean?

Oh the lucky Aetna insureds!! No more expensive in-lab PSGs for them. They can get their Dx's of OSA real quick now.

And they will probably even get a home titration w/a Resmed S9 Escape Auto which can report Pressure and AHI as well as compliance hours. Who cares about Leaks? Especially when first starting w/CPAP and mask. Who has many leaks when first starting out? And Leaks don't affect or skew the Pressure and AHI data. At least not very much. Yeah right!!
I'm sure it will depend on the individual policy whether an in-lab test would be paid for. And, of course, I'm just as sure that the ONLY way an in-lab test would be paid for is if one fails CPAP therapy and their sleep doctor goes to bat for them and jumps thru hoops to get the in-lab testing approved.
