I have just had another sleep test done and my pressure went from 14 cpap to 17/13 bi pap.I have to wear a full face mask and I have tried a lot of them. The problem I have is getting them to seal with my high pressure on my face.Randy.
I forgot to say that I went from a cpap to a bipap. The mask that I use is the ultra mirage(large). The thing that scares me is that the lady that fits your mask, said maybee I should think about a trake.I don't think so.Thank you.

this is a good question. i'm bumping this to the top in the hope of getting a response.
What mask are you using? What ones have you tried? 17/13 would average out to about 15 so the pressure did not change all that much. Bipap also tends to have less leak problems.
My pressure using BiPap is 14 EPAP,30 Max IPAP.I use the Resmed Activa LT or the Resmed Softgel and have very good luck with them sealing.

My favorite FFM was the quattro by ResMed, I had more luck getting it to seal than any other. It just bit into the bridge of my nose.
I'm presently at 18/22 and have trouble getting any full face mask, or the FitLife Total face mask to seal. I would try the macks silicone earplugs (you buy the silicone earplugs- if you don't already know this- and roll them into a thin strip- I have trouble getting them much smaller than a pencil- and line the edge of the mask. When you seat the mask on your face, push down around the edges to seal the silicone. I still haven't had great luck with it on the FItLife mask, but it's kind of flimsly. I do better using it around the entire perimeter of the mask. Carbonman on cpaptalk recommended polident- BUT Wait- it sounded great to me, but was a joke. I have seriously considered aquarium sealant. I think it would peel off my face. Maybe I'll try a test spot tonight and let you know. Desperate times call for desperate measures.
I'm also on BiPAP at a constant 18/22.
Good Luck,
Mary Z.
