Help with Encore sofware for Respironics
I am trying to install the encore software for respironics that I got online in order to view the data from my respironics M fully data capable cflex machine. We are trying to open the smart card reader /writer software and it tells us that it could not find encore pro application and that the installation requires encore pro 1.3 or greater to open up.
I am unfamiliar with this kind of set up with a reader and smart cards, etc...but what I have purchased and have here is:
smart card reader/writer sofware version 2.0
Encore viewer software version 1.0
And of course the card reader.
Do you think that I am missing something?
There is nothing on my packaging that says Encore Pro...but instead just says encore.
Any assistance, greatly appreciated.

Which machine do you have? Not all M series machines with c-flex are data capable. Your machine should be at least the M series Pro. The M series Plus machine does not record any useful data.
It appears that you have received the EncoreViewer and card reader. You do NOT want to install the card reader drivers or writers software that came with the card reader. Uninstall them from your machine. EncoreViewer should already have the drivers for the card reader all ready bundled in that software.
Click on the EncoreViewer software and see if it recognizes your reader. If it doesn't let us know.
FYI I do NOT use the EncoreViewer software but do have the EncorePro software. I would think they would operate in a similar manner.

Hi-- and thanks for the assist. My machine is not a plus and completely data capable. I learned to make sure I got that by hanging out here on SleepGuide before getting into a machine selection.

I'm not sure what the Encore Viewer software is. We use Encore Pro in the office. It sounds like you need the Encore Pro to use the card reader. I don't know what the SmartCard Reader/Writer software is either. These are the only two product numbers you should need: 1009583 and 1003543.

EncoreViewer is the patient version of EncorePro. EncorePro is no longer available to users and is available only if you are a professional.
The card reader is necessary to read the card, which is similar to a credit card in size. Without the card reader there is no way to get the information from the card to the software.
