Hey All,

I just joined the community. I am a 26 year old male with OSA (15 years, just diagnosed). I recently upgraded my CPAP to a machine with data S8 VPAP Auto 25. Right now I am running in CPAP mode with a pressure of 6. I seem to be having some issues with mask leaks, but would appreciate some comments on my reports. I created daily detailed reports (so far I have three). I would love any help you can provide. Also.... my titrated pressure was 4 cm, but 4 cm isn't enough to breathe so doc upped to 6.

July 28th Data
July 29th Data
July 30th Data

I can recreate the reports if there is a better way to do it, but these are the FULL detailed reports for each day. Thanks.

Eric,
Are you using a nasal mask?

What I am seeing appears to be a continual sequence of leaks which to me appear to possible be caused by mouth breathing.

Have you tried a ff mask?
Hey. Thanks for the quick reply. This was with the Probasics Zzz-Mask (FFM). I switched to it after figuring out I am a mouth breather.

Your pressure is too low. You should really try to get your AHI <5. As far as leaks go try to keep your leak rate less than 4x your pressure if possible. So at 6cm you would not want your leak to be under 24L. that is just a formula that has worked for me. There is no science behind it, just my rule of thumb.

My B-day is also 10/9. I am a little older than you, but it still always nice to meet another fence riding Libra. The grass is green on both sides. LOL
This is too weird. Another October 9 here.
Lol. That's just odd. I think the Zzz-Mask may be riding up on my face allowing it to leak out the top near my nasal bridge. Not sure though. When i go to bed it isn't leaking. Thinking about trying a new FFM. I can't make this thing any tighter (at the end of the velcro) and any looser leaks worse. Sigh....
Is it possible you just need a new headgear?

The Zzz-Mask unlike some others only has different sized cushions. All the headgear is the same size. Its unfortunate. I am actually being loaned a Hans Rudolph to see if that does any better.
Try pulling the bottom strap down around the back of your head. It should be at the base of your skull more towards the top of your neck.

I don't know which is weirder the fact that we all have the same birthdays or that we all responded to the same post.lol
I'll give that a try tonight.

Here is a graph question (or two):

1) What are the numbers attached to the apnea event (time of event?)?
2) The leak graph is the "corrected" graph correct? What does the red line at 24 L/min mean?
I would feel better if someone else answered those questions Eric. I am pretty unfamiliar with the end user software. I know how to interpret the numbers, but am still lacking in alot of the areas on these graphs. PSG software i know.
