Has Anyone used the Fitlife?
The Respironics Fitlife Full face mask looks like it might help me with some facial problems-Nose red, sore, Puffy eyes, wrinkles, Lines on my face from the seal-I have the ResMed Mirage Quattro. I just got my provider to order a Fitlife to try-takes couple weeks- Researched online- only problem I see is air all around your face causes dry eye-I can't have that- But I beleive I may be able to ware a eye mask to seal my eyes from the air and it wont affect any air leaks.-still researching this. I don't know much about this ramping and air flow thing but I don't beleive my air flow is very high-maybe remember ramp to 5?- I just paid attention to my sleep center saying must have, stop breathing at least 20x per night for over 7 sec's- So here I am.-Not happy-and VAIN.- Has anyone used this?-What do ya think?

If I'm not mistaken, this is the one that looks similar to a Firefighters mask. It's a niche mask that is surprisingly comfortable. I didn't have a problem with air drying (only wore for about 10 minutes though). The air wasn't blowing though, it just increased the pressure in there. I had it set at 16cmH20.
Wearing an eyemask is a good idea, but may not be necessary. Plus the straps from it may break the seal. You could wear it "strapless" though.

Yes it is the one that looks like a Firefighters mask. Hum, the air wasn't blowing through?- And since I'm pretty stupid on all these settings-(great on cleaning, how to turn on and off-that's about it)- I'm assuming 16cmH20 is pretty high and you couldnt breath? - So are you saying NO Way to this mask? Comfortable sounds great but I guess I still have to stop Apena.-Breathing-good thing according to my doctor. Oh and yes the vain girl thing- I am researching 2 types of eye masks one has a strap, one does not. I have very bad allergies-I have to be very careful of anything contacting my skin containing glucosamine,shellfish.....My care provider did say that I could try a eye mask with my existing ResMed Mirage Quattro, use it as long as it does not break the seal- solving the eye problem, however I would still have the scary lines on the sides of my face where it seals.- This mask looked like it would solve that--but it didnt work for you?

Funny- Talking with it on should'nt be a problem -my husband loves the fact that I don't talk with the mask I have now. No problem with claustrophobia and I ware glasses-can't see without them so the reading/TV idea with this mask or any mask is out. The eye drying and facial lines,pain ect are my biggest issues. Since CPAP-I look like crap. And my vanity-I really don't want to stop my wrinkle/skin treatment. I really do look years younger than I am.This mask is sounding good--I still want to know if anyone is really using this mask.-Thanks for the help.
P.S. Hope I never have to have a Jason mask-saw that movie-that guy still scares me!

Oops, sorry if I wasn't clear. No, it was comfortable as far as how it sat on my face. It completely avoids the bridge of the nose and only touches the bony and tough parts of your face. (Cindy hit it on the head)
Like Cindy also said, there isn't a rush of air that will blow into your face. The name cmH20 just is a measure of the amount of pressure that is creating the splint to hold up your upper airway tissue. You could liken the whole thing to PSI for car tires. It's just pressure that's holding up the weight of the car.
I would try it out if you can. It may work very well for you. I thought it was a very well made mask.

I'ts not you I'ts me. I don't know any of these terms,I really do need to ask at my next appointment-they told me but-went right over my head. I don't know ramping, or anything. Your example helped me! Get it now!- I ordered one hope it shows up soon. I will let you know and THANKS again.
