I FINALLY think my numbers are right, but not without great effort on the part of my sleep tech. My last sleep study was done using the sleep labs machine. However my machine was a different kind. When results of study were sent back to doctor, doctor ordered numbers that my sleep tech was convinced were not right. I think she finally sent the doctor the conversion table, showing the difference in the settings between one machine and the other. She has risked her job because she feels so strongly that these settings are wrong. I go tomorrow back to sleep tech who will hopefully be able to set numbers at where she has determined they should be, using the conversion tables. My doctor insisted there was no difference in machines. What has happened? Why do these doctors not know that there ARE differences? He got perturbed with me because I toldl him I did not have the numbers changed yet because I felt they were too low. He spoke with the tech who hopefully is still employed. This is serious.
