Watched a segment on Sleep Apnea this morning -- Dr. Oz show. The problem is that they had this guy and his wife on the show -- both had home tests done (from Watermark Medical, actually) and were diagnosed with Sleep Apnea. The guy was morbidly obese and his wife was just obese. The guy had severe sleep apnea and his wife had apnea but they just said it wasn't as serious as his. Anyhow, they made it out to seem as if only the guy needed CPAP, and that CPAP is just for the morbidly obese with Severe Sleep Apnea. The wife they kind of implied that she could just lose weight and be fine.
Also, they didn't mention surgical options. And on the dental device, they said it was only good for mild to moderate cases, which is not true from what I gather -- the dental device can work well in some severe cases of OSA.
Anyhow, that's the synopsis and my take on it. Anyone else see it/ have any reactions?
