I watched all 5 parts of Dr Gominak's talk on utube. Has anyone here had their vitamin D levels checked? Has anyone here taken D3 and found the level she talks about? This sounds interesting, what do you think??
Hi Doctor Jones, Thankyou for looking in to this it sounds promising . Good Sleep,Chris

Chris, I thought Dr Gominak's talk on D3 was stimulating because there is some rational to her theory, even though there are no studies to prove it (yet). I e-mailed her and asked the question. Have you done sleep studies on your patients after they have been treated? Her answer was "no," because insurance companies wouldn't pay for it. Frankly, I hope it turns out to be real, but you know "when it sounds to good to be true, It probably is." Waiting for the studies, but It goes without saying, that if you are deficient in D3 and/or B12, etc. you should correct it because of all their well known adverse consequences untreated.
My D3 was 48ng/ml, so I upped the dose from 2,000 IU/d to 4,000 IU/d and will recheck in a few weeks (trying to get it to 60-80ng/ml). B12 was normal. I'll do a HST in a few weeks to see if gets rid of my OSA. If it does I'll let you know.
