I have been insomnia for a while and a friend of mine recommended me a  web to listen to natural music, since then my sleeping quality has improved a lot, but I am wondering if the natural music really helps me with insomnia or it is just an mental suggestion, does any
one in this group know any scientific basis about this natual music? Thanks a
lot !

My Cpap makes the gentle sounds of waves at a distance. It helps me sleep.
Hi Jason! I understand the insomnia issue. I can be an incredibly restless sleeper with a very busy mind and I have used certain sound healing music for about 10 years now and with really positive results. I am more relaxed, I fall asleep more quickly and stay asleep and I love that it seems to "take the edge off" after a particularly crazy day. I started out with music from Steven Halpren but was then turned onto sound healing music from Chase Carter (www.thechasecartermethod.com). I have loved the latter the best. So do a few yoga instructor friends I have turned on to his music. When I attended a Sound Healing Weekend Seminar last Fall, the PhD's were all music scientists that had proven theories about the healing qualities of sound. They had studies (of which I have a copy) of actual brain waves and how those waves had changed due to certain healing sounds. Mental suggestion? I guess so, but then so are vitamins, aspirin, prescription drugs, etc. The power of the mind to create peace and healing and/or pain and chaos is astounding. Enjoy your music (go to Chase Carter's website and take a listen if you want) and don't over think it! You are getting wonderful results so keep it up! Sweet dreams! Kelly :)
