I have two back-up machines in case one goes down. One is an older Tranquility model and the other is a older Apap. Both work good and will do in case my main machine stops working in the middle of the night or on a holiday.

What about you?

I do not have a backup. On a trip, my husband packed the car, as I was checking out in the lobby. We were in Flagstaff. We arrived in Tucson and I unpacked the car at some friends house. No CPAP. It was on the floor of the room, so I called and they found it. What night was it? OF COURSE it was Saturday night. Nothing open on Sunday for mailing packages.. The night manager packed it up beautifully, and mailed it Monday. I sat up in a chair all night long until it arrived on Tuesday first thing in the morning. I was tired, but fine. I spent years getting to the point of exhaustion that led me to the sleep center, so I just decided two nights would not be a huge challenge, and I would be a good guest and cope. I did go to bed at 5 PM Tuesday night, but Wednesday was great. Don't think I will get a backup, as I know I can survive, and my provider has backups available that they will give me 24/7. They are wonderful. But, I now shlep my purse and my CPAP all by myself. He is fired from touching it.
Gee, that's huge dedication to CPAP - you won't sleep without it, literally, so much so that you'd rather stay up in a chair than sleep without it.
