CSI Las Vegas and CPAP

I am watching CSI Vegas as I am writing this. A man using a cpap had a dead woman in his bathroom and the team had a hard time waking him up. When he woke he explained that he had apnea and had to use a cpap. Said that he had a severe sleep deficit due to the apnea.

I know that when I was making up a sleep deficit, which I still do now and then, I would sleep late and just not want to get out of bed. Frequently did not hear alarm clocks.I always have to remember that TV is TV and they are not always accurate about certain details. LOL!

When CSI first started, they had consultants that helped to keep the show's science accurate, they have since decided to go for drama rather than accuracy or even vague realism.
