I found an ad for a trial 15 day bottle of somnapure on the internet. Free, but pay postage and handling. I filled out the information until it got to the credit card and realized S&H was almost as much as a whole bottle at the drugstore so I didn't bite. Two weeks later I get a postcard telling me I could have the sample for 99 cents. I bought it and it arrived yesterday. I almost didn't pull out the packing slip, but did and read the fine print. They had charged me $2.99 for shipping and I was now enrolled to get a bottle a month for a total of $75. I immediately called to cancel. Thank goodness they answered the phone, but they were a VERY hard sell. It finally took me sceaming into the phone. A real scam. Nowhere on the website or when I ordered did it say it was a subscription that would come every month. I'm so glad I read the packing slip- I'm sure they get $75 or $150 from a lot of people before they realize they've been duped.

Thanks Mary.
These types of schemes burn me!!! It seems that many of the "free trial offers" are anything but free!!
Most are just rip offs and nothing more in my own opinion.
Terry, did she send a picture?
I think my point is those of us suffering from chronic illnesses are easy fodder for the slick presentations of these scammers. Most of us would try anything to get better.
I usually get the emails where I have an inheritance from someone completely unknown to me, or have won a lottery I never entered. Of course they need funds from me to get me my rightful money. A friend's father actually fell for one such scam and lost $1,500 and then almost lost another $2,000, but luckily had to ask his son for the money and his son set him straight. I know this is a bit off topic of sleep apnea.
