Blisters from a Full Face Mask - Allergy to Mask?
okay so i have a problem with a patient that is getting burn marks or blisters around his face where the mask rest on his face. My only thought is that he is allergic to the material and experiencing a reaction to the mask. Any comments or advice on this would be greatly appreciated.

there are a number of products that have come out recently that act as a barrier between the mask and the face. Rem ZZZs is one. Another is Karen Moore's Pad A Cheek Products. That might be a good, simple thing to try first before you go off exploring masks made with hypoallergenic material (if there is such a thing)

This certainly does sound like an allergy, a call to the DME/Sleep Doctor might be a good idea. There might be a mask of different material. Also, if this person is inclined to see a dermatologist that really might help.
This is a very serious situation as it can lead to him not being able to wear a mask, and allergies can worsen with increased exposure.
Pad A Cheek and RemZzzzs are also good suggestions about places to start.
Good luck with him, as I said this is a serious situation.
