I am hearing that some insurance companies don't pay out for sleep studies/CPAP, citing it as too experimental, or some such. I am shocked if this is the case, given all the scientific/medical evidence backing up the benefits of treating sleep apnea. if there are insurance companies not covering cpap/sleep studies, let's list out which ones they are, so that we know which to avoid, if at all possible. I am not talking about policies that don't cover DME (durable medical equipment) at all -- I'm just trying to identify plans that single out sleep studies/CPAP as too experimental to cover.
