I just saw Dr. Mack Jones comment that Asians have a 24% incidence of OSA.  How well publicized/ known is that in the Asian community?

I have read it in a number of different publications. The Asian community has quite a bit of sleep research coming out of China and Japan. I believe that Japan and Canada are the only 2 countries still currently involved in dream research.
I read somewhere this is due to their tendency to smaller features and bone structure.

Of course then there are the Sumi wrestlers ..... *wicked grin*
Oh, I don't dispute the truth of it. Dr. Park confirmed that it's true that Asians have greater incidence of Sleep Apnea

Not to overgeneralize about cultures of people, but I am under the impression that Asians as a group are typically health conscious and more open to alternative treatments like acupuncture, herbs, meditation -- wonder how aware they are that they as an ethnicity have a giant bulls-eye on them for Sleep Apnea, and how willing they'd be to use CPAP as compared to Western cultures.
