I have been using an Apap for a while now and the pressure is now set a 30...the highest it will go.  I am trying to lose weight in hopes that it helps but the sleep issues screw with body weight and it is a constant struggle.  My mask, a full face...leaks like crazy at this pressure and although it works, it could be better.  I also wake up feeling like I have run a marathon.  Anyone have any suggestions?

What machine do you have? My understanding was that the machines ddid not go past 25cm. Why is your pressure so high?

I can understand, having once had a pressure that high prescribed for me.  (There is at least one machine by ResMed that goes to a pressure of 30, Rock.)  My mask could just not hold the pressure- the best I could do was 27 and much of the night was spent adjusting the mask fixing leaks.  The best mask I have found for high pressures is the Respironics FitLife Total Face Mask (not the one size fits all).  At that pressure you have run a marathon during the night!  Sorry, no suggestions about that
I am using a Respironics BiPap machine with a ResMed Quattro full face mask.  The setting is 30 as that is what seems to prevent almost constant apneas.  Anything lower does not seem to work..the settings adjust as I sleep .  This setting creates lots of leaking and sometimes gas plus feeling like I have run a marathon every night.  I was diagnosed in 2000 but have not had good luck with the machines I am trying to lose weight, but every time I see progress things fall apart.
I completely forgot about our conversation over this topic.
