I've been told that I'm eligable for a new mask. I currently use a Mirage FX nasal mask by ResMed. In the past I've tried the Quattro FX by ResMed but found it to be uncomfortable.

Are there any new full face masks out there that anyone would recommend?

Thanks in advance for your advice!

I've heard good things about the Respironics FitLife full face mask aka the "Jason" mask.  do a google search on it.  looks intimidating, but i hear it performs well.

How about checking the various reviews of different masks? I visit cpap.com and check out their reviews when I'm considering a new mask. Indeed, it was thanks to its reviews that I finally tried the SleepWeaver, which I like. (The fact that it had a 30-day return guarantee also encouraged me to try it; I'm glad I did.)

The only problem: some people really like one kind of mask -- and some people really dislike the same mask. One must read thoughtfully because, as we all know, one man's meat is another man's poison.

I love my Respironics FitLife Total Face Mask.   It is rather intimidating to look at, but is very comfortable.  I think it is catching on.

How do I get to read the rest of this discussion?

Rita, I think only three of us -- Mike, Mary and me -- posted comments on this discussion.

That said, I have found it useful and interesting to read the reviews on different masks at www.cpap.com   Maybe you'll find what you need to know on that site.

Good luck.

I'm curious, Mary.  What do you do if you get an itch on your face or nose with this mask on?

I'm curious, Mary....what do you do if you get an itch or something when you have this whole mask on?  Do you have to take it off?

I just get a little itch now and then on my nose and I just reach in and scratch  it letting the mask leak for that second.  To go to the BR I just unhook the hose from the mask.

Hi folks, thanks for all your comments. I'm trying out the Forma by Fisher Paykel.

So far, so good. I use the Remzzz pads for added comfort (3 at a time) and to keep from getting lines on my face in the morning.

@ Rita, I second Mary's comments about how to scratch and itch on your nose or face during the night and how to get up and go to the BR. :-)

Mary~ I have wondered about this mask for quite a while.  I sleep on my sides using a down filled pillow.  Can you sleep on your side with this mask?  Thanks~

I sleep on my side with the FitLife Total Face Mask withour problem.

Maybe I should try one end of March when I can get a mask with insurance and could return if not working.  Looks like it would be so nice not to have something touching your nose/mouth etc. My problem has always been my small face.
