Hello all, (Susan, I know you ordered this too. Let me know what your thoughts are on it too)

My lab ordered this product for use in our lab. It is supposed to act as a "gasket" to seal minor leak from deep "laugh lines" and leaks around the bridge of the nose.

It works very well. After on the skin and it heats up a bit it really adheres well. All you need is a thin band and voila. It is also reusable.

After awhile we had an "Ah Ha" moment. The stuff is Silly Putty.

SILLY PUTTY!!!! We bought it for $5.95. It's the same as the stuff that comes out of the egg. It even bounces and "copies" newspapers when pressed on it.

It works, but save your money and purchase it for much cheaper at a kids toy store.

Thanks for the great tip!!! I'll have to add it to my repertoire!!!
Our local dollar store has the Silly Putty brand and it is a $1.00 so very affordable.

I never would have thought of it.
Good Gosh and I have been buying the costly putty., I even have silly putty in the house! Going to give Silly Putty a try tomorrow when I go to sleep.
Saz RPSGT,
So you just put a thin band of the putty around the whole mask where it touches the face? Pencil size or pencil lead size?
Silly Putty, why didn't we think of that before!

Thanks,
Mary Zimlich
Yes. Just roll it so it's about spaghetti thickness. It just needs to cover the trouble area where the mask leaks are occurring.

Saz,

Your input helps set you apart from those professionals that want us tied to the local DME's and the expense of purchasing only material from them.

Thanks for sharing your tips and pointers with us as it is much appreciated.
