I have been using my CPAP machine for about 2 years now and have found it of benefit. Lately however I have noticed what appears to be excessive air leakage from the mask through 2 small holes about 3mm wide at the bottom of the mask. I don't know whether these holes had small plugs put into them that have since fallen out but the air leaking seems quite substantial and very noisy and off putting when trying to sleep. Shoultd I just block them off or should they be kept open. Hope someone can help.

Many thanks,
Tommy.

Block them. There are supposed to be plugs on those holes. They are designed for adding supplemental oxygen and/or measuring O2 and CO2 levels. They are not necessary for home use in most cases. Most masks don't have them at all.
How long have you had this mask? Maybe its time for a new one? Usually you want to replace them at least every 6 months tho some of us have masks that last a bit longer.

Daniel, many thanks for your reply and it seems to be the answer to my problem. I think the small port plug must have fallen out as a minor hurricane has been blowing out of the bottom of my mask. Hopefully back to a quiet nights sleep that I was enjoying before.
Thanks again.
Tommy
PS Best wishes from Ireland.
