I'm a newbie. Could you explain exactly what you mean by making a bridge of cardboard on mask?
Thanks!
for Quattro FX mask I use heavy paper andcover this with scotch tape . Then I tape the 11/2 inch by 1 inch paper to bridge that holds headstraps to mask. this keeps air out of eyes for side air escape I use RemZzzs liners.

How do you do this, exactly. Somehow a deflector? Even though the air is not going in your eyes you still have mask leaking, don't you?

None of these measures help if your tear ducts are letting air up to the eye.
If the mask is not leaking you shouldnt have any other air in your eyes if I understand correctly. Sometimes the hose will deflect air from the vent into my eyes.
For treatment I would first do the hot soaks to the eye to make sure the glands on the eyelids are clear. My ophthalmologist gave me some ointments and salves for the irritation.

I agree with Janie, I find that very often when I have air leaking into my eyes, I need only slightly reposition the forehead pad and the entire mask shifts into the right place. I also agree with Rose Marie's comment; check to make sure the air vent isn't blowing into your eyes.

Whenever I feel air on my eyes when I put the mask on, I just re-position it a bit and then the mask fits fine. This seems to be a "fit" problem. Having to use cardboard and tape shouldn't be necessary ... or is just really difficult for some people to get any mask to fit?
My mask has no forehead pad. The Quattro FX air release is right under the eyes and tends to blow up.
Many of those using this mask have this problem with air rushing in the eyes. I keep using this mask because it feels good on and does not give me a closed in feeling. Having worked in engineering I realized this design error and fixed it with the cardboard. It works and directs the air out away from the eyes.
